Alas Purwo National Park

Alas Purwo is wild life reserve at the Blambangan Peninsula. The name "Alas Purwo" is taken from Javanese languange. Alas means forest or jungle. And Purwo means the beginning of everything. Alas Purwo located at the south of Banyuwangi. It lies near the Plengkung Beach or known as G-Land. The width of this forest is 42 hectares square.
Alas Purwo also completed its wild by the existence of wild animals such as the species of Banteng (Bos javanicus), deer, pics, and peacocks. Beside of the wild animals, Alas Purwo also has many monkeys. We can find the monkeys move from one tree to other tree. It sounds like they feel so happy with their condition.
In the other hand, Alas Purwo also has its own myth that is believed by the society around the forest. The myth is when the visitors go there and do something bad, the visitors can’t go home with the same condition as the visitors come there. So, it is recommended to the visitors to always keep their attitude when they go there to avoid bad effects that may be happened.
Beside of those informations above, usually some people go to forest to looking for divine inspirations. From the interview with the society around, the people who wants to looking for divine inspirations meditate at there in a few days.
